Leila Lopes became Miss Universe in 2011 in Brazil. She is radiant, brilliant, wise and capable.
She won the hearts of everyone at the event so completely, that the audience shouted ‘Angola’ over and over again. She one of the five women of African descent to win the Miss Universe title since its inception seventy-one years ago.
Leila Lopes is five feet eleven inches tall. She is a graduate of Business Management from the University of Suffolk. She won the title after her course in Suffolk.
Leila won Miss Angola UK in 2010. She went on to win the Miss Angola title in Luanda, qualifying to represent Angola at the Miss Universe Pageant held in Brazil in 2011. That victory gave Angola its first ever victory in any international pageant. Leila brought home the crown. She delivered on her brief. She won the vote of the huge audience of Brazil.
